For the past 4 years we have ‘fostered’ Zita our black Labrador who has become a wonderful part of the family. I am very pleased to say that in the last week two of her puppies born on our laundry floor just over 2 years ago have started work as guide dogs with their new owners. This newsletter is about volunteering and doing something for others, be that by giving time, skills or experience to help others – it may seem simple and easy to you but to the person receiving the support it can be life changing and liberating – picture the freedom of a blind person for the first time being able to go out and about with their new eyes in the form of a guide dog – truly amazing.
